anybody dyno a setup like this???

Hey I was wondering if anyone has dynoed a 12A with full racing beat exhaust and 28mm Mikuni carb with electric fan instead of mechanical. Just curious. Or even if anyone knows what kind of gain the mikuni would offer.

What he said ^

28mm seems REAL small if you only have one on there. If you have 2 then thats good. But only one would actually choke the engine of power from stock, considering the secondaries on the Nikki are like 25mm or something, and the primaries are around 18-19mm.

I don't know of any dyno results, but RB does claim a 22% increase from stock with their exhaust, so hopefully you're at least at the 115-120 HP range.

i would say around 130 to the wheels if tuned some. if tuned well, then i would say you could get up to 150rwhp.

I don't know what the hell I'm looking at. How do I tell what size it is. I didn't see the size stamped on it, I just figured it looked like a 48. I don't have it in front of me right now so I couldn't look now but what would I be looking for?
As for the horsepower I wasnt expecting big numbers or anything, I just like to put time in at "Harv's Dyno shop" and wanted to know what to aim for. I will have a buddy with me to help with tuning of the carb when we dyno it. I am just looking for a reliable and effective street set up so the carb may be left a little De-tuned to allow for fuel efficiency. I'll post once it's all said and done.

dont try to de-tune the carb. just get your heavy *** foot of the gas! .

after you get you run done,
post your results
and the jets that you are running in the carb.

Point well made. And on that note I would like to make an announcement. Since my last post I went to the DmV and as of 4:43 pm, california time, I have my Driver's license back. It's been a long and expensive journey but once again after a year of paying my debts back to the court, approx. $2300 and 2 points on 7 seperate tickets for driving modded cars not speeding or being reckless, later, I have it once again. My Driver's License. I think I'm going to cry.
