Another direct fire

D'oh! Both your setups look like you guys raped a couple FB dizzies for the ignitor plugs. Heh, that sounds like something DMRH would say. I've always used individual quick disconnects. The setups look good though.

its nice living in SOCAL. there's plenty of parts!!! My stash of distirbutors will last me at least 20 years. and since the junkyard dizzies are gonnna get trashed anyway, I always put them into good use.
The EFI rat's nest I picked up for my MegaSquirt project has all the injector connectors and stuff but is missing the water temp sensor connector (somebody swiped it). It turns out the two pins inside the sensor are the same size as in the back of an ignitor. I could use a couple of those small quick disconnects if I can't locate a replacment EFI temp sensor connector before I wire up the ECU.
I'm very glad Hitachi/Mitsubishi, or whoever manufactures sensors, uses the same parts bin goodies.

Can you bring the SE rotors too (and a pre-86 E-shaft..I will call your pop)? I got to complete the P-Port as a gift to my RX-3 but I cant find the time to drive to your house
thanks
DAVID GRIMES, nope. All they need is a piece of 1/8th inch aluminum plate of adequate size. I've had good luck with a piece of aluminum that's about an inch larger than the ignitor itself on all four sides. Remember, they were designed to be mounted to the dizzy housing, which gets more or less as hot as the engine. They're also in the hot radiator air flow. If you mount them over on the inner fender, like most of us do, they'll run cooler and last longer.
I wish I was wire intelligent. I've read the walkthrough, and looked at the wiring diag, and still can't figure it out. I'm an idiot when it comes to wiring. Someone move close to me, so I can pay you to install direct fire.
