Alum. Radiator/Elec. Fan

Has anyone had any luck running an aftermarket alum radiator and/or Electric fan?
Wondering if it would in let loose spun pounds/ resistance and cool better aswell.

Hit the search. There is at least one thread current about using a 2nd gen rad, And several have been opened and have good info over the summer.

General concensienc is if your temps are fine then dont worrry about it. an e-fan does not hurt if you want to do it.

Welcome

I will be using that setup in the near future, but I'll miss driving down the street high reving the motor and hearing that clutch fan sound ;-)

Yes, please do. That rad looks like a good fit for my Taurus fan.

Believe me 2wankel, you will not be missin' that hideous clutch fan for 1 minute.

eprx799, The fan is 16inch, more flow than 2 x 10 inch, so yes it does overlap the oil cooler, although it is solid mounted to the radiator.

Rx7carl, It is a custom, two core radiator made by BTR Aluminium Fabrications in South Australia. We drew it, they made it.
Its got some tricky stuff goin' on with the flow but not 100% sure what.
These two cores are huge and equivelant to four. Its a ripper.
Price, was a special for me, but I believe they are about 750 Aust.

Never really had a problem with the stock radiator, but that motha of a fan was pulling it apart.

Cheers Sue
