Check the mazspeed.com site; I think I read over there that you can use the fusible links from a junkyard 626.

I used one off a 323. It came with five slots. 80 amp fuse in the center. It will mount to a Gsl-se style fusible link brackect with minor massaging. also stays in the same spot. You should also get the female connector for the bottom of the alt from a second gen. You could attach the wires without it. but hey if you're gunna buy soon just recall to get the connector also. hope this helps

a t2 alt will bolt up if you put the smaller spacer in...no wiring mods needed... a 3rd gen will bolt up also with the smaller spacer but it is wired diffrent... no fuseable link ajusting needed

With my 85, im using the stock spacer with a t-2 alternator. Works great. Basically, to make it work right, the collar (somewhat) in the alternator mount that needs to be pressed in. just hit it with a hammer to make it flush with the bracket and it will make an easy install.

Ah.. I had to do something similar to that to get a Mitsubishi alternator to fit in my Honda. I also had to file the braket adn mounting ears down on the alternator. I went through my local supplier's stock of Nippon Densos.
