Almost got every thing to Turbo my 12a!

Ok... just picked up a fuel pump, 14psi... Need the rising rate pressure regulator, only $111, get that a bit later. Got the manifold, gonna get the carb bonnet. Got the intercooler, gotta get the BOV.

Gonna see tommorow about a turbo.! My question is this... should the turbo from a TII be good for me? I'm only planning to run 10lbs of boost. Considering the TII turbos seem to be proven. I figured I would just port the wastegate, and use it at that. SInce the TII's use 8lbs stock boost, 10 shouldn't be a prob... maybe 12?

Seems like I'm on the right track. Gonna be selling my VW beetle soon, to get the money for the engine rebuild.

What kind of manifold did you get? That is going to limit what kind of turbo you can run.

yeah me too.. what carb u using...
i'm plaing on doing something like this soonish.. and i wanted to use the stock carb but i havent read many good things about using a stock carb for a blow thru set up??

also with raising the fule pressure, this is to compensate for the extra 10psi of air getting in.. but does it use all the 14psi? or do u take how much boost there is away from the pressure because thats all going back down the return like, so it will be still using only around 4psi?? hope that made sence..

definatly going to need a better fuel pump....a inexpensive pump would be a GSL-SE PUMP.... THAT WILL HAVE ENOUGH PRESSURE UNDER BOOST!!!!! a 15 psi pump will not work! use a mallory fuel pressure regulator model # 4309... it costs around $90.00 and it works great! i also am wondering what carb your running... p/s if you plan on running 10 psi on pump gas you better lock out the advance on the distributor..
