Another Flywheel question

Ok so now that the huge nut is off, how do you get the flywheel off? Do you have to spin the fly wheel while keeping the eccentric shaft from moving?

if that doens't work you could probably get; I think a timing gear puller will work.

hit the face of it with a rubber mallet. It should jar it loose. Mine did anyways.

Try this, take a really big screw driver or a pry bar of some sort, and go through the motion of trying to pry it off. You don't want to pry it off you just want to some force to the back side. Now take a small sledge (if you have one) or a regular framing hamer and smack it, HARD!!! Should come right off. Becarefull, this is a very loud proccedure. You should probably get some ear plugs before trying this.

If the flywheel does not come off on the first swing, do it again.

Good luck

Ryan

You are just asking to get hurt if you don't thread the nut back on a few turns!

I mentioned that in the previous question he asked..

A heavy flywheel + gravity / foot = A SHITLOAD of pain, simple physics

I've seen one come flying off and go about 5 feet across the room.
