Aligning the front pulley using the flywheel, how to?
I've seen it posted that you can align the front pulley using the flywheel. I've got the inspection plate off the top of the engine and can see the flywheel, but what mark do I use, and where should it be relative to the engine? I've got an '83 motor and can see two readily identifiable markings on the flywheel. One is the #31 and the other is three dots arranged in a triangle.
Thanks for the replies.

Hah I was in the same position as you a while ago you take off the flywheel inspection plate on the intake/exhaust side of the engine and you line the flywheel up with the skinny part of the flywheel. From here there is 4 ways the front pulley goes on, it goes on the way with the leading mark closest to the timing mark.
