Looking good man. Glad to see it work out for you. Did you run into any problems? Was that pulley easy to find?

You can also remove that bracket from the air pump as well. I also removed the extra pulleys on my eshaft to tidy things up a bit. looking at you pile of parts it looks as though you removed the fan for the alternator. Might want to put that back there so you don't cook the thing.

look back at the pictures, the 4 bolts hold on the retaining ring plate. Just be careful not to take off both pulleys or you will lose your timing marks.

What about the fan blades you took off your alt? How is the voltage regulator going to keep cool?

Very nice Sgt. Fox (and FB-elli), I see you have a respeed heat shield on top of what looks to be an RB header, same set up I have (including the block off plates, dual pulley and rat's nest).

Here's a video showing the dual alternator belt (looks cooler than a yoo hoo belt, don't you think Stu?) and rat's nest, before I installed the RB system (thus the loud exhaust note = small hole in stock muffler). I put the rat's nest back in to restore my idle and gas mileage after I removed the nest last summer, causing loss of a few mpg, an irregular idle and uneven throttle progression:

Sgt. Fox, how did you get that hot air pipe from the breather to fit down there by the header? I just left mine off because there was no obvious way to mount it but now the carb takes a few more minutes to warm up each morning. Here's your heat shield set up:

Here's mine. How did you get hot air the pipe mounted down their?

Just cut the old one, made a hole to fit over one of the header studs and used a band clamp to hold the other side. Been like that for five years, and work pretty well.

Sgt. Fox, very interesting re-engineering for use of the pre-heat tube. It's little things like that that make this forum the resource that it is.
