Aftermarket fuel pump help

Im installing a new fiel pump, holley red style and i have a few questions. First, do I keep the check valve that goes on the pump outlet. What is the amperage of the fuel pump fuse.
Can i atatch my fuel pump to these two holes right above the check valve

I know the Carter pumps have to be mounted vertically and assume the holley is the same. That said I can't tell from your pic what area this is and where you are referring to. This is how it is mounted in my car.

Did you have to drill a hole to mount it there

To be honest, I don't remember but I think I did. Used self tappers if memory serves me right.I followed the instructions below and my install had the quiet kit with the rubber isolators for the bracket as well. You can still hear it run but that can be reassuring.

You mean the cut and check for rollover safety? No I don't. Just another connection to leak or go wrong.

the 85-85 cars have some threaded holes for the pump setup they would have had if it was EFI, 79-83, you need to use some rivnuts or something
