Advise please ! cowl leaking water by foot area carper and electrical

Hello
so I have been getting water in both passenger side and driver floor carpet. I always keep the sunroof drain and trunk drain holes clean so I know they aren’t the problem. I ran a water hose in the cowl and noticed water coming down to carpet so I know that is the corporate. What should I use to seal it? Im thinking windshield windo weld urethane , you guys know anything better than that? Thanks

Keep it in a garage LOL! I guess you have some serious rust happening down in the cowl area. Did you clean out all the leaves and stuff that collect down there on both sides? Its a known area for rot to set in when it's left alone and stuff piles up in there.

in your first photo, it appears the seal around your blower vent stack has cracks.

existing article with many mentions.

Is the area slick at all? Antifreeze coolant from the heater core can also leak here and look like a water / rain intrusion problem. When the Heater Control Valve goes out, you'll know it, because every time you hit the gas, the water pump spins up and sprays hot coolant on your gas pedal foot! That'll help your gas mileage considerably until you replace the valve,...
