ON 82 Widebody TII Swap + FC Subframe

Finally I can say that this car runs, all I am missing to take it for a spin is a driveshaft.
Everything in this car was built on a budget... Low Low.. budget.
Car $1000
Donner TII $400
Aluminum rad $120
Intercooler $70
Intakes Upper, Lower, and throttle body $120
Intercooler piping $100
Downpipe $50
Electric Fans $50
Gsl Se fuel tank with modified internal 255GPH fuel pump $120 (Gas tank renu in Toronto area)
Trust intake elbow $120
Knightsport turbo $400
Misc (Metal for Fab, fittings, hoses, fuel lines, clamps, bolts, nuts, washers, etc...) $500
Total $3050
Still missing a driveshaft.. probb $350
Exhaust $400++++
A nice set to Rims.. I want SSR's.. but budget rims will be diamond wheels.

This car also started life as an S2 and got the S3 dash.. Rewired some of it... still need to do the heater...

TII swap possible for under 4K... Just as long as you don't have to buy rims !!!

Here are some pictures.. I did post things in my FC subframe swap but have a few more to share.

Under the hood...

The collection of gauges... and to the right a wiring mess

BOV and E-Fan Switch..

How close the radiator sits to the swaybar

This is how the car looks... Dusty... but not for Long Muhahahahaha

If anyone wants any info on the FC subframe swap..

Shortening the TII transmission.

Modifying the steering rack FC bottom FB top...

Making Swaybar mounts...

S2 to S3 dash swap

or any other misc info relating to this I am glad to help.

Sounds great with just the downpipe, but I bet it is LOUD inside the car! Nive to see it was
done inexpensively, but not cheaply

Wouldn't mind some info on the subframe swap! Most info I see is vague or short.

Nicely done and it's pretty quiet for a downpipe only. 3 black wide bodies in this style and I'm the one w/o a turbo, damn.

Here is some info gathered, with a few pictures.

Next time I'm going to swap a TII into an FB. Im going to simply swap the front cover, and use the RE-SPEED big brake kit. It will take less time, and you will be able to keep it "unmodified".
