Great! I need some of that action. I need to make my website live up to it's name you know...

So what kind of price range are we talking? Are there bulb options, or are bulbs not included? If they're not included, what type of bulb fits?

Christmas seems so much further away now...

well the 1st kits will have a projection bulb on the inside(highbeam) and lights like the kit i posted on the out side(lowbeams) the outside will throw a wider pattern and good longreange... the highbeams(all4 lights) will add the projection "pencial" beam and shoot a GREAT long range beam. the lights use H3 bulbs so you can get 35watt-150?watt and i have seen the blue looking kind also. they will come with the stock 55(i think)watt bulbs from hella. price... we are aiming to get 350 or less. plus shipping. I want to make this kit so 1st gen people want them and can aford them. hell a kights sport 2nd gen kit is like 1200 thats WAY outa hand. ill keep you posted

No offense, but why are you all so concerned with your godamn headlight kits???

It's not like it makes you any faster!

Spend your hard-earned cash on something useful for **** sake.

yes, yes we are.

heh

I got the same delimma, do I spend the ~4-5k to get the car's bodywork fixed, and painted, and ****, or do I build a really kicking turbo motor setup for the car.

Well, it comes down to I want my car to look right before I go making it much faster. Afterall, I can put a turbo on it later, but the longer I let the bodywork sit all fuxored up, the sadder I'll be looking at my baby.

Just my .02

Because they are huge ugly lights, I lose about 30MPH at night with those windguards at night, heheh
seriously, I don't like the light styling from the 70's
I've done alot of work on my car and want somthing more modern.

1) I am. Cosmetics are a secondary concern. I have several other upgrades planned first

2) Upgrading to a better lighting system will allow my car to go faster at night safely. I dunno about you, but I like seeing where I'm going, and the one-piece stock crap doesn't do it.
And yes I could updrade it to sealed beam system, but I think BadAssRX-7's kit will look better.

Take a pill dude. We're not putting any headlight kits on your car, so why should you care? Performance is a big plus, but not the solution to all the world's problems.

Take for example a 500 hp Chevette. Cool for the drag track, not cool to drive your girlfriend/wife around in. Since my car is not for the drag track, I do not need to dress it up like it is.

Sometimes you must mix the go fast stuff with comfort and appearance. A finely blended dish fit for a king is the idea, not the tough and spartan beef jerky and fish with dehydrated potatoes you would have for 'dinner' whilst camping.

It's not like it makes you any faster!
That, contrary to popular opinion is not the be all end all of life. See above.

It's MY hard-earned cash, and I will spend it how I please. I would be pleased by increased visibility and improved appearance on my car.

Besides, soon (hopefully by spring if my J-spec ever arrives) my car will be a TII/GSL-SE hybrid that would smoke your car with or without headlights at all.

And no, I am not removing the radio, rear wiper or air conditioning. You can drive around in discomfort to impress people, but not me...

I can think of at least a dozen other cars we should all be driving if being fast was our primary concern.

You can use the early model Miata twin headlight kit with a bit of modification. Hit up a Pivot half unit for sleepy eyes

Well, at least the search function was used.

I first opened this thread and thought, "Oh man, this never went through."

Then I saw that BadAssRX-7 was working on the kit and I thought, "Wait. He abandoned that 5 years ago." (Has it really beent hat long? Jeez.)

Then I checked the date.

only way to get those lights is to buy the miata kit and modify it to fit your car...

Yeah i remember the first time i was on this thread there was another topic debating making any and i actually said was going to, but then i said **** it because i really want a flush mount instead of the sleepy eye. I think the flush's are beautiful. I was just actually checking up prices on lexan and plexi.
