engine. OR, if you just want a little bit better for the 12A, definately use the 2nd gen leading coil. There is a writeup in the 1st gen archives for this.

You didn't say what year of a 1st gen you're getting, but if it's an 83+ 12A, use the FC oilcooler. Fc fuse block in the engine bay, 2nd gen alt, even the tranny and clutch if you don't mind doing a little modding.

I searched, couldn't find it. If anybody is aware of this writeup, could you please link it for me? I'll owe you one.

I want to keep my FB carbed. Would a later 13b have any advantage over the FB version, if both were converted to a carberator setup? I don't see why they would, but I don't know squat about FCs.

Gee, I don't know, does a 327 produce more power than a 283? Btw, the 13Bs first came out in 74 and they were carbed.

83+ takes the same 225 mm clutch, (NAs), no need to change the flywheel. The shifter housing is longer on the FCs than the FBs, switch the tail housing, iirc.

I know a 351 Cleveland will smoke a 351 Windsor, and a Boss 351 will take'em both. A 351 H.O. is a close second, but the so-called 351 Cobra Jet was a total joke.
Come on, it wasn't a stupid question. I said I didn't know, didn't I?

The Boss 351 had canted valves, Cleveland style. But the intake and carb were unique, hence two different engines.

Pretty much nothing. The engine will go in, but it won't really perform "better".

The seats do add headroom, although they aren't as butt-grippy.
