Is this a 1st gen oil cooler and lines?

Hey Guys,

I am a 2nd gen owner, and bought an oil cooler and lines from a guy who was selling them off of a modified 1st gen with a 2nd gen motor, etc. He told me this was a stock 88 oil cooler and lines. It does not look to be so, the fittings on the cooler are not banjo and hose lengths are shorer that they should be and contain no metal on the bottom line.

Let me know if this part looks like a 1st gen cooler instead.

That looks just like my GSL-SE cooler. IIRC the FC FMOC had the mounts vertical as well as the banjo fittings for both ends of the lines.

I just pulled the oil cooler off of a '85 SE tonight. The hoses look the same, but the mounts on mine are rubber. Could be a first gen....just not MY first gen ;-)

Thats a 79-82 cooler.
The SE has the pipe nipples splayed a bit to clear the front swaybar.
The FC coolers have banjo fittings.

Don't mean to hijack the thread... but do you need to do any modifications to make an FC oil cooler and lines work on a GSLSE?
