1st gen center dash hole - what to put in?

Well, after installing my HU, I am left with an ugly hole that used to be equalizer opening(marked with an arrow on the photo). What to put in, can you point me to a cubby/pocket thingy online(Ebay would be nice) - please with links or purchase info...how is it called, part number or something.... Thank you!

The storage cubbys that fit that hole aren't available new but there's usually someone on the classifieds that will have one for sale.

Since 1st gen Miatas seem to share some interior bits with 1st gen rx7s, I would see if the miata
console has a similar size hole. I know on my SA the miata cupholder is a perfect fit in the
console when it replaces the ashtray.

These pockets are from a first gen. I'm not sure either will fit you dash hole, but if they will I will sell them cheap. Just sitting in my office.

Consider it a "blank canvas". You could fabricate a panel and install gauges, switches, and extra power outlets. Every Rx7 could use additional power outlets.

Agree, seats are awesome.

Haha those seats are really cool for sure. I put a gauge panel there in mine and it worked out alright, I have a pocket in the current car and it is useful for sure. You can just buy a universal kit off of eBay and fabricate it to fit.

Yes, this.

Also what about an auxillary gauge of some sort? Something that doesn't need a ton of room behind it like EGT?

If you had posted this 2 weeks ago I would have just given you mine. My console fell apart on me so I just ripped it all out and went full on metal.

Thanks for the website!!! I'm restoring my Rx7 and I'm getting all new parts and the console it's one of the most important ones.

Anyone knows where I can get a clock??? Doesn't matter if it's digital or analog.
