Canada has its share of rednecks - we keep them in Alberta
As to the car, this was posted in the lounge. Like I said there it's a clean install (though the hood is butt ugly). The catch is the guy spent $40,000 on it and wants at least $25,000.
That's probably why he spells cowl 'kowel' and the hood bulge, open to the rear, an 'induction scoop'

anyway its the first i have seen with fuel injection and not a carb, I would be very proud if I did the work, looks great IMO.
Im sure most people here would whine not cause it has a different motor but because it would rock the doors of their rx7 without even breaking a sweat.
Not trying to start a flame war but I could give to ***** less about what engine they put in what car, if its fast and looks good then its fast and looks good.
And I myself (although I have only owned a couple handfuls of rx7's and 2 ford rangers with a 4.0 and 3.0 in my name) love the sound of a tunned V8 as much as a tunned rotary.
A 440 with a sixpack is a beautiful thing, no matter what its in.
For example If someone ever offered me an AMC AMX for any or all of my rx7's I would run to grab the titles. NOt that I dont like rx7's, Ive owned more then I can count on all my fingers and toes and Im only 24,but I've never owned an AMX or any classic muscle car and probably never will even drive one *sigh*
What do you guys think the people on other forums think about us putting rotary's in other cars

The 1983 has a couple of things that make me uncomfortable.
1 Says it needs TLC and $1k of work.
2 States the engine does run but almost sounds like a problem within the engine (the way it is stated).
I'm going to call that number and talk to them. Springfield is close enough for me to actually bid on this.

As of 05/15 @ 0730 hrs CST, the bid is at $3800...lol...I'm trying to figure out how he can claim a 2200 lb weight of the car with engine and still have the Ford 5 speed (heavy) and a Ford 9-inch rear (gawdawful heavy...ever try to lift one of those things when you're scrounging the boneyard??), is it a race car or a street car?...and then there's the damn skinny tires sticking out of the fender wells....a potential fine handling machine has been reduced to being good for nothing more than a potential "smokey burn-out" contest winner at the next Car Craft Street Nats...it needs to be burned to the ground, it has be dishonored and has no purpose on this mortal plane anymore...

cowl induction is one thing - 'induction scoop' - what the seller refers to it as - is another Scoops normally work not by negative pressure drawing air in but by positive pressure ramming it in, 'scooping' up air in its path as the car travels down the road.
And yeah, it's a clean install - just not $25,000 and up clean, IMHO.
