1984 GSL-SE: S4 Intake Oil Injectors

Hi all,

After sitting with all the parts for far too long I finally got started on swapping my intake for an S4. Looking through the few threads with any sort of writeup, I didn't find any information on my problem. In my pictures you can see that the oil injectors for the rear rotor completely interfere with each other. I've already tried removing the LIM and bolting the oil injectors in first but with both in place their vacuum connections touch and the LIM will not bolt in.

Is this due to a difference in the 84/85 and 86-89 rotor housing? I was considering trying to cut down the vacuum nipple on each but before doing that I wanted to consider any other options. Is it possible to plug only one of the two and run a single oil injector to each rotor? I've always premixed but would still like to keep the OMP functional.

Thanks
Edit: Just found the single piece injector bolts instead of the two piece bolts that are in it now. I guess I'll cut the current ones down and then get a set of these later.

Yeah those were the two I'd been following but neither thread mentioned it. No worries though with the two piece injectors. I ended up using a couple needle nose pliers and bending each vacuum bit opposite directions and they cleared enough to bolt on the LIM and get hoses on. The single piece ones would be nice but this works without issue.
