1983 GSL: Please advise me
I've had a 1983 GSL 12A since 2003. The car is a california car that was brought to Toronto. It has a clean frame & body and has never been exposed to winter salt. It was in running condition when I got it but needed a driveshaft replacement and a few minor things to get it going. I messed around with the ignition trying to install an MSD system and the car hasn't been starting since then. That was in 2005 I believe. I tried working on it myself from time to time but I either didn't have time or didn't have money and eventually my dad wanted the garage cleared out so I put it away in storage at my uncle's shop.
My uncle called me up a few days ago asking me to move the car because he needs more storage space for tires. I was wondering if I could have a chat with you to help me figure out what to do with it. The options are:
PS: I used to be an avid user of the forum about 10 years ago but have lost the email address I used to use so I couldn't access my old account. Here are my old threads which have some history about the car: https://www.rx7club.com/search.php?searchid=12118919
Thanks in advance for your advice.

- Sell it as is
- Pros: wouldn't have to worry about it and would probably give me $500 or so which would be handy to have
- Cons: would take too much effort to sell it and i'd hate to sell it to someone who doesn't appreciate rotaries. Would hate the feeling of selling it after having it for over 10 years.
- Bring it back to driveable condition and sell it
- Pros: same as above but would probably fetch a bit more money considering it's driveable
- Cons: same as above and paint is chipping so I doubt it would fetch much regardless of being driveable
- Keep it and nurse it back to health
- Pros: Would have a nice car I can use in the summers and slowly work on now that I have some money to spend on it occasionally.
- Cons: Driveway space is a valuable commodity at the moment because I have 2 cars I'm trying to sell for friends but that will change in a month or 2.

Option 4 as proposed by the wifey after sharing my conundrum with her was - get rid of it regardless of whether I get any money for it or not so I don't have to worry about it.

Well let's just hope she doesn't come across this thread :P
If I do keep it, I'd need a lot of help (knowledge based, non-monetary) from you guys to get it back to running condition. Its been 8 years since I've thought rotary!
Will keep you guys posted.

Guys, I've decided to give it away to someone who can give it the love it deserves. If you know of anyone, please have them email me at gufran at gmail. Thanks for your advice and time.

And it isn't such a sad story because thewird might be taking it. He wants to restore it and his shop is not too far off from me so I may get to spend some time with her from time to time.
