That's what I thought but my research hadn't been able to verify it as a fact.
This will also provide me with the opportunity to install a larger fuel line to feed the 13b.
Thanks bro...
Some modifications done there, original pump and filter gone. Post a pic that includes all of the fuel pump. What kind of carb is on car, pressure regulator in engine compartment? Did you buy an RX7 specific fuel filter?
Pic of oe type fuel filter that came on the car, what you have circled in red in that picture is check/cut/rollover valve. Is there a fuel filter forward of the pump that is 1/2 in picture?
Post underhood pic of fuel lines/carb.

Reason: added pic
In my previous post i identified it as check/cut/rollover valve. It is original and it is not to be replaced. It is designed to stop the flow of fuel if car rolls over in an accident.
Appears a lot of your fuel system is oe.More pics of undercar and fuel lines/regulator in engine compartment. I would hope there is a fuel filter at some point in the car.
Looking to replace the fuel tank on my 83, it has a space saver tire. Will the 84-85 tank fit?
Cheers
Signs point to no. Apparently the chassis rail width changed between Series 2 and Series 3, so the tanks don't swap over.
Ran into this when I needed a tank for my '81. I was willing to pull the tank out of my '84 and convert it to an under car mounted fuel cell, I was getting so desperate. And then I found one and the car was on the road within two weeks, after staring at the car for almost three years...
I'll get a picture later when I get home. I am running a weber 48 ida with a redline fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay and redline fuel pump.
The fuel filter I got a autozone it looks like this:
What is that part I have circled then? It looks like it might be a fuel filter. It also looks OEM which means it has never been replaced!
I had a 85 GSL-SE and that fuel filter looks way different due to it being fuel injected I am assuming.
Nope, that's the right fuel filter you bought. The placement of the fuel filter is down the line of the fuel pump, which I believe is the pink thing in the picture you posted. It should look similar in snape to the one you bought, but its probably dirtier

Thanks peejay, Crawled under the car with the new tank it fits very well, looks like slightly longer bolts will be required for the straps.
The 83 must be closer to the 84-85 than the 81s...
