1979 RX-7 Value

I have a chance to purchase a 1979 RX-7 with less than 10,000 miles on it. Complately original and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. I would like to get some idea of what this car is worth. Could somebody please give me an idea.

Pictures would help. Interior as well as exterior, engine bay, and under carriage. I find it hard to believe it has less than 10000 miles on it and would require proof, like a single owner for one thing. Then I would have to see the car to determine if I thought it may have less than 10000. If it really has that low a mileage, then its worth a few thousand at least, but the market will determine the price.

id say between 3-5K. If it is like eat your 7 course engagement dinner on the frame clean, then maybe even a bit more.

It really does have under 10,000. Single owner with special circumstances. Very clean. Just looking to see what the market might bring, but don't have pictures. Any other input is appreciated.

I'd say between 5 and 7K tops, but the problem is that with mileage that low, I'd want to try and save the car as a collectible. Since it was the first US year (productionwise) it definitely has a little more value than say a 1980 to 1985, but that's just my opinion. It depends if you intend to purchase the car as a DRIVER or as an INVESTMENT.

Need to know the production Date.

5K - 10K with 5K being easy to get and 10K being very had to get.

Is it this one?

This was originally posted awhile ago, maybe even last summer. I traded emails with the current owner and certainly if the car is as advertised, it is well worth it.

Before you hand over any cash or try to evaluate its worth - spend a $100 at a Mazda dealer or Rotary repair shop that has a Rotary Compression Tester and confirm that the engine is still good. 20+ years of little or no driving and incorrect engine prep for storage could mean a $2K+ repair bill to get the engine fixed...
