1979 Limited Edition for sale!

Hey there,
I have been rebuilding my '79 LE for about 10 years now and it is beautiful. However, my wife and I have purchased a small farm and I need to buy a tractor and other things to feed my family, so unfortunately my "Roxy" has to go. I know this car is pretty rare and I wanted to give the RX7 community a shot at taking her and help preserve her for many more years. I would hate for some teen to try to rice-burnerize it, and we would lose another piece of rotary history.

I don't know what the best way to sell it is, so I posted it on e-bay to try to get as much exposure to any kind of sports car/rx7 enthusiast. All the details and pictures are posted on there. Please e-mail me if you have questions or are interested in the car.

It really runs well and and looks amazing.
Thanks, Eric.

And another one, outa nowhere! Sorry to see you have to let her go. I keep an ear to the ground when it comes to 79 Limited's and am only aware of 10-12 cars still in current, road worthy condition. Thats not to say their aren't others still out there like yours. Curious as to what your door jam tag lists as the build month. Guessing March of 79? Do you still have any of the original seat covers or door cards that you might want to let go of?

Good luck with your sale.

Too bad the engine swap makes it a non-starter here in the Enhanced Enforcement Stalag of the People's Republik of Kalifornistan.

But I can still wish you good luck with the sale and hope a deserving new owner comes along.

You're right, the build date is 3/79. The original seat covers were in horrible condition and all torn up. Sorry about the door tags, those are going with the car.

The original owner burnt up the original engine, and replaced it with a rebuilt one. It was completely by chance that I came across a 13b that the guy only wanted $200 for it. I figured the current engine already didn't match with the car, so I put the 13b in, otherwise I would have never taken out the original engine had it still been there.

So the covers are no more? Even pieces of worn out covers can be usable for patch repairs of other original covers. I was asking about the inner door pannels not any ID or info tags. The original door cards had grey velour inserts that matched the seat fabric. Too bad about the original motor but at least it still has rotary power and an upgraded unit at that, still keeping it on the road.

I don't mind the post staying if the original poster also creates a for sale thread in the appropriate forum section. Otherwise I'll have to delete topper forum rules.
