12a stalling
I have a sa with a 12a and a holley 650. It keeps stalling at idle. I cant get it to stop. Even when i raised the idle to 2000 or 3000 it wont work. It just idles for a lil bit then the tac gets less and less and in 8 secounds it stalls unless i tap the gas to keep it goin. What do you guys think my prob is. Idk it could be the fuel pump or something with the carb. Can you guys help me please!? Somebody anybody!?

Why are you running a 650? Way to big unless you have a full brige. The Holley requires 6 psi of fuel pressure, way beyond the capabilities of the stock pump. Every aftermartket carb that I know of needs a fuel pump upgrade and fuel pressure regulator.
You would be better off selling the 650 and getting a Sterling carb.

Is the engine heavily ported, is there an fpr, are there headers and upgraded/larger exhaust.
If you don't have these things, a stock setup is probably faster. You will NOT get a 650 Holley to run well unless you have all of the above, and it is still too big of a carb.

My PP had the same problem.
The problem was, the engine didn't make enough vacuum to pull fuel through the idle circuit below about 1200rpm. Idle at 600rpm all day long if you tapped the throttle every few seconds.
I'd bet your idle circuits in the carb are plugged up, or maybe it's just as simple as the metering block gasket was installed wrong or is old and has shrunk and is covering the idle circuit passages.
