Question 12a front cover advise needed.

I know for the 2nd gen. Mazdatrix recommends not to install the gasket on some models and just use the o-ring. Is this the best setup for 1st gens also? I'm having an oil pressure problem and think the o-ring is not sealing properly. Basically if you read the Mazdatrix troubleshooting on the 86-92 oil pressure problem. That's exactly what mine is doing. Need advise for this weekend!!!

The Mazdatrix website does apply to the 12A as well. I have a 12A front housing as well as both 2nd gen housings and it looks like their remedy will fix yours.

Thanks, I just got off the phone with them and they said the same thing. No gasket. So I should see like 40 psi at idle and 80-90 4k, with shimmed regulators and the 17-17.5mm pump right?
