12a carb vacuum line rerouting

Hey guys. I have recently rebuilt my carb and deleted the rats nest. I am trying to figure out where to reroute the hose coming off the nipple next to the solenoid in this photo? Also do I need to keep this solenoid hooked up? I did strip the Nikki and break the spring out of there I believe. Any advice on where to repute that hose to would be great! Also do I need to cap off the nipple on the bottom of the air cleaner?

That's the carburetor bowl vent. It should be vented to the filtered side of the air cleaner so the vent sees the same atmospheric pressure as the air bleeds and jets. Or leave it off and let dirt and crud get in your carb and get random running issues.

The solenoid closes off the vent when the engine isn't running. If you broke the spring off, get another solenoid and plug it in, otherwise it could close unintentionally and cause the same drivability problems as a plugged vent.

All unused passages in the air cleaner need to be capped off. Dust will very rapidly kill a rotary. Never run a rotary without an air filter. Or with a gap to the air filter. Or with a cotton gauze type filter that has been gotten wet and not re-oiled.

Yeah, that solenoid needs to have 12 volts when key is on or running otherwise you will have running issues as @peejay mentions.
