12a carb or fuel issues

Hey guys

so I got a 85 GSL
had the engine rebuilt about a year ago , don’t drive the car at all sits in a garage for the most part unless I go pump gas or decide to take a ride .
lately I pull the car out of the garage and it turns on choke is on ,car warms up. And then it just dies off I try to save it and hit the gas pedal but it just turns off
try to turn it back on turns on and turns off within seconds .
i mean from what I read it can be the carb since it’s factory or the fuel ??
Not sure
any ideas on where I should start

I’ll put some pictures up for you guys

How long has it been since you replaced the fuel filter? If it's been awhile, I'd start there. Chances are it's clogged and not allowing fuel to flow at idle.

Also, if it sits for a long time between uses, I'd add something like a can of Seafoam to the tank as a fuel stabilizer. Ethanol and carburetors don't seem to get along. Where I live the gas stations sell fuel with a higher amount of ethanol during the summers. That summer mix will gum up a carb if you let it sit for a long time without running the engine.

Those are the connectors that plug into the emissions solenoids. This is often referred to as "the rat's nest". These are frequently removed by owners that no longer are required to pass smog tests. It eliminates sources of potential vacuum leaks and cleans up clutter in the engine bay. Sounds like your car has had these removed already.

I think it's always a good idea to put non-ethanol gas in these old cars, if available. I have to pay up (the only E0 in my neck of the the woods is premium), but I think it's worth it in the long run.
