“Use with External Resistor” for 12v Coils?

Hey all,
I’m wanting to buy an ignition coil to replace the leading one, as I found the threads on it were stripped off, and I know Rad said you can just do away with the resistors which I know everyone says, but then I get confused when looking at every single 12v coil online which says “use with external resistor” in the description, or something along those lines.

Anyway, I was wondering, do I just ignore what they say and use the 12v coils with no resistors?

Thanks for your time,
Pascal
