Long story,my first sports car was a 1974 Datsun 260 Z that I purchased new for
$5,500. I was 20 years old and making $2.00 per hour, the Z was my dream car .Being poor it also was my daily driver .After 3 winters in North East Ohio the body was pretty much shot. I was not a happy camper. I swore that the next sports car I bought would not meet the same fate as the Z. I bought the RX7 new in 1982 drove it during the summers , never in the rain and never ever when the snow hit. Did all the regular maintance along the way. Then in 1991 I bought a Miata ,the RX7 did not see as much time on the road as it did before ,which wasn't much to begin with .I owned the Miata for 16 years driving it a little more regular basis during the non winter months and storing it alongside the RX7.
It retrospect it was not the smartest thing to do. I should have driven it and enjoyed it ,then moved on to the next dream car, which I have, but I still have the RX7. Having joined the RX7 fourm I have taken a renewed intrest in the RX7.

Street Port Single Turbo 20B or n/a high comp ITB 20B
3" 304ss zaust w/ semi obnoxious muffler on the back [somethin like HKS HiPower type size]
Ford 8.8 Rear w/ minitub
Re-Speed Coilovers, Swaybar, Rack n Pinion, Big brake kit etc.
Stripped interior sealed and painted gunmetal w/ aluminum dash and Corbeau seat
Black ZG Fender Flares
White TE-37s on a 16x8 w/ RT-615s
Midnight Purple [same as on the R33 GT-R]
Black Mariah 3 piece spoiler
Though my dream car is ever evolving this will probably change about 100,000 times before I ever build anything remotely close.
