My VIN: JM1FB3319C0649925 <--verified on dash/door frame/under hood

Using this to decipher it:

I noticed that my year code (10th digit) is a "C" = 1983
However, the last 6 digits start with a "6" = 1982


Not that it really matters, but what is the actual year?

 

That picture is incorrect, I remember seeing that when I first looked at the picture because I have a 1984 and mine is JM1FB3322E0820025.

F - 1985
E - 1984
D - 1983
C - 1982

If you look at the "Owners Registry" thread stickied at the top of the 1st Gen Non-Tech section you'll see that all the '82 cars have VINs like yours, so it's more of a problem with the VIN decoder you're looking at than with your VIN itself
