Ever find an answer? I have a 93 MB, and I'm picking up a 81 soon. Going to respray the FD soon and might throw the 1st Gen in there with it. Would love to see an FB or SA in Montego. Anybody have any pics?

I'd have to say the rims are photo shopped on there.

You can fit 17's etc under the factory body with a little bit of dish (see my car) but to get that much dish on them I'd say it's fake...the front wheels are a giveaway also that someone has played with the picture.

Sorry man.

My dream FB would be simple and clean... ReSpeed suspension bits, adjustable absorbers, perhaps even FC front suspension, etc... All in an SE package with the stock white from 1985. I'd want at least 250 WHP, perhaps from a TII swap or something of that sort... And a bone stock bright maroon un-sun faded interior.

Look at the wheel arches in relation to where the frame rails would be, there isn't a lot of factory Mazda unibody left in that machine, its a tube frame race car.

for the purpose of the thread:

My dream FB would have to be one of the early group B rally cars, or that thing from sweden( Mohlin's tube frame car).

funny cuz i was just talking about a dream 1st gen at work today with my buddy who's got a 79 SA.
I've got just that car . 1982 GS Renisance Red , cloth interior 3,287miles on the clock ,unmolested by any one. Bought it new in June of 1982.

here's mine

3/78 SA22C, no sunroof, no rub strips.
HZ yellow, which is the 91 miata/03 protege 5 yellow.

full stock black interior
black recaros
probably a black 360mm nardi wheel

engine would just be the 12A PP from the current car, weber fed. efi would be considered.
A-RF exhaust

wheels are the rota RB in 15x8, probably dark grey center, although yellow might be ok too, they are cheap....

225/45/15's since we're dreaming let's put it on slicks...

suspension would probably be camber plates/coilovers etc just so the stance of the thing could just be *right* but i could take it to the track too.

i even found an early SA too, but i think i'm just going to keep peepers as is

Excuse my poor photoskills, but this is my dream ***** car. Lengthened from the firewall forward to fit a 1000hp N/A 6 rotor PP in it that runs on nitro. The topic IS dream.

And the more sane 20B PP version for getting the groceries.

Rod Millen? He made a couple, including a 2nd gen 20B turbo 4wd. Both for hill climbs.

Slide in through the back hatch onto tilted seats that automatically right themselves like on Thunderbirds

Orrrrr, the panel gaps are so fine no human eye can see them, so it may have doors, or it may not.
