Had a similar experience while in a parts store getting some basic stuff back when I had my 82. Old guy overheard what I was getting parts for, came up to me and said "Why don't you get rid of that POS german designed Wankel engine and put a 350 in it? You won't have any more problems with seals then". I wanted to slap the guy silly for saying that... As if a 350 is really that reliable.

You know you are an rx7 owner when you really want to remove the exhaust so you can hear the roar of the rotary so you make an excuse to remove it once a week.

heat shield??? whats that? lol thats scrap metal. when you start taking your ac and all the other crap that goes with it, and anything that could lighten the car up off while yelling "i wanna go fast"
