when every race sanctioned event has a "special" class for your 30 yr. old car, because it's not "fair" to the other piston engined car..... man , i loved rotary cars!

When your definition of a loud exhaust is ear splitting to those around you. After I took my 7 out for an evening cruise I got a call from a friend saying he heard me 3 streets over saying "I heard that pull to red line sounded bad ***" as I pulled into my drive way.

...when you started out to do a budget engine rebuild to pass smog, and one day find yourself - - as part of the same project, four months later - - refurbishing the inner headlight buckets because they were "too dirty for the rest of the car."

Even though no one can see them.

(Part of the "dammit... now I made a clean spot!" syndrome)

Haven't even owned my fb for 24 hours and I've already been asked by the people at the auto parts store if my car was a 4 cyl and then when I showed my mom she asked if my car was a datsun

You know your first Gen owner when...
1. You have to tell your neighbors no, it does not have a large Cam, or any Cam at all.
2. A 4:30am drive to the mountains just to see how taking off that50 pounds of AC crap will affect your cars handling doesn't seem like a bad idea.
3. When friends tell you to backfiring under a bridge just to hear a loud BANG! Becomes a normal habit xD

when you fire it up everyday just to hear it, and every time you do, you want to drive it more and more...
when you're trying to find ways of making a carb'd 13b pass smog...

Spending 5 hours a night trying to find "hard to get parts"
realizing that your have more money invested your rx7 then in your bank and retirement account combined
when your next paycheck is used for the next mod
when you see another rx7 and go I wish I driving mine
sitting in the drivers sit waiting for parts making vrooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm vrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmm mmmmm braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappppppppppp varoooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mm screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecccccccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhh noises like your 5 years old

there is a video of our run, i dont know who the guy in the FD was, but behind me and Alysha was mike "myfree7" and wendy "rotary-kytten" in the rx8 and behind them was mike "rxtacy3" and Jimmi (i think). it was our best run the whole trip, what a blast!
