I started a thread in the Race section, asking if anyone is autocrossing on them. We'll see, I guess. I hope they can be used, because any other option is going to be much more expensive.
I had just taken out whitey for a decent run, and then as soon as I came back I offered to give you one too right after, so by no means I was parked for a while. And its not like they take an extremely long time to warm up, but it could be the difference between winning and loosing though for an auto cross session. For time attacks we always get a warm up lap before our 3 timed laps for that specific reason.

Honestly a good, durable, and decently priced (Well against hoosier or something like that) tire that I have heard of over the years for auto crossing is the Kumho Ecsta V710. I think people can get about 20 events out of these tires on average.

Go for it Mark. I was tired when I was posting the pictures, so I only put up a couple of action sequences of you and Sam. I'll be posting more when I have more time.

Hey Kentetsu, Mark Tennis in the Miata is a good driver in what is basically a spec miata. He used to compete in CSP on this side of the state about 4 or 5 years ago. While he was not the quickest CSP driver he would beat me by a good 2 seconds on a 40 second course. At the season ender in '06 (a 56 sec course for me) he beat me by 3.4sec but... Finky was driving my car too and Finky bested Mark by 0.5sec! Finky won CSP that day, Mark was 3rd.
How many times have you been told an FB is not competitive against a similarly prepped Miata with equal driver skilz?

lol, everybody keeps telling me that the fb can't compete. But I'm such a stubborn ****, I'm still determined to prove them wrong! With those old Hoosiers I got from you, I was in the top few cars out of nearly 100 entrants for the next three races.

We'll see how I do once I get some decent rubber on there. In the mean time, I'll just have to keep trying to make the cheap tires work for me. I did learn a few tricks on getting them warmed up quickly at that last race. Besides, I think they will do a bit better this weekend now that I've got a few more miles on them. We'll see...
