Sad day. This vehicle has been stripped and sent to the crusher, today. Too much rust to make it a viable project for restoration.

Had many enjoyable years with this Rx-7. Found this one dead in the weeds behind a used car dealership, dragged it home, reconstructed it, and drove it hard for many years. Tore it down because it finally reached the point at which it needed some TLC. Had big plans for restoring it as a long term keeper. Unfortunately, it was too far gone.

Have had several 1st gens over the years. This was my favorite.

I wonder if that was my old car and first ever RX7. I sold it in the Ft. Lee area (just south of Richmond) in Dec 1985 before going overseas. It was the rust / red brown color like by the trim tag. that would be a hoot if it was . Had a black interior w/sunroof.
