Rubbing sound on bumps
When I hit minor low spots on roads going like 40, 50, 60 etc I hear what sounds like tire rub. I have 245's on the back, but there are no rub marks in wheel wells and they are flared a little and have proper clearance. I don't see anywhere under the car where it shows scratch marks on what it might be. Has anyone else had this......could it be suspension linkage?
Also have RB springs.

Are those fat rear tires rubbing on the suspension links or inner-wheel well metal? If you only hear this rub on dips in the road, when the suspension is compressing, then something is rubbing. Which you already know. So start crawling around under your car and find the rub marks.

That's about the best I got for now. I don't think you can find 16x245 anymore short of track tires. 235's are available. I got to the drag strip and see cars with tape on their wheel wells. maybe some painters tape might not be a bad idea, because so far....maybe not bad enough to leave major marks but ape would show it...

I didn't mean to sound rude. The RB springs are widely used and accepted so all I can think is that the tires are too wide and/or the spacing of your rims is causing the rub. Looking at your pictures, my first thought is "Ooo, those are gonna rub". My second thought is "Nice car" 🙂.
When I had stock suspension and 15 x 7 rims w/ 20ET spacing and 205/15R tires (what most people recommend for aftermarket rims/tires on our cars) they rubbed on my front swaybar or tension rods (I forget which). Wore through the paint but I didn't feel or hear it while driving.
The tape sounds like a good and simple way to check for fender rubbing.. If that's it maybe having the fenders rolled would solve it, without changing the looks of your car.

thanks man....fenders are rolled with proper wheel spacers etc.... the only way to get that tire in there. and yeah. I suspect rub, but I can't find one anywhere.

It looks good.... I only asked because I got a set of 15x8 Weld Draglites that I want to install down the road and I was thinking 235/60 instead of the 225/60.. And when I read that you got 245s I thought that if you can fit 16s with 245s I can get away with 235/60s.....
Thanks for the pics...

My bad. I double checked. they are 245/50/16 (they sure look like 60's though)
you should be able to 235/60's in there though. Make sure you know your tire measurements and what they mean. AND you have to have the offset exactly right, get the right spacer for your wheel offset and probably need to roll the fender, but not to the point of pushing it out. Just smashing the inner lip. I can actually still get these tires, last I looked I was looking for 60's I think.
Here's mine for reference. I'd go a little smaller just to be safe even though I have not found the rub yet.

bad links?
I've only looked at tires as this build took a few years, so the tires are a few years old and I expect to burn them off faster than normal.
Will look deep under there tonight for rubs...again.

found the rub. couple small spots. we're talking 1/4 inch or so and only worn to old paint color and no marks on tires. Think I will leave it and keep an eye on it. I say that because I "over rolled" one front fender and know what a pain it is to fix. If I start to see marks on tires or it gets worse will address it. I will go 235's next time.
