Reminds me a little of the GTO kit which I thought about getting for mine. Although, as someone mentioned (5 years ago, lol), I would need to have the motor to back it up.

So, you're saying the back end is SUPPOSED to suck that hard?

It creates enough vacuum underneath to keep the rear stable.

It's easy to see why it's that way if you have a basic understanding of aerodynamics.

Some people were saying this is supposed to have a rear spoiler, but i just found this model of a `81 LeMans car.

No wing.

No, wait: the hatch IS the wing! It pops up like a speed brake!
The idea of the hatch being a wing isn't so far fetched, the original Abarth Fiat 500 used the rear hatch (which was essentially where the engine was) as an aerodynamic component of the car. Not only was it used as most spoilers are, but it was also used for running air from the front of the car through the car and out the open hatch, keeping the air flowing through the car and not around it and keeping the engine cool at the same time.

Thats bad as. Love it. Yeh that rear end, if it had a smooth under side to help suck air smoothly under the body and up at the end would provide mega downforce, its a HUGE diffuser and guessing that its based on a race car makes perfect sense. Downforce with less drag than a wing.

Rear mounted 13bt, 20b? haha!

I do, thank you..., including the concepts of both lift AND drag.

((V^2)/2)+(gh)+(P/p)=constant

And of double entendres... though I may be alone in that?

To create downforce without creating rearward drag, the underside of the long back deck should be either an invert airfoil shape, tapering upward, or a more abrupt but still solid rear chop - - think of the back end of the newer Vettes.

As it is, it's creating INward vacuum along the sides and rearward vacuum from the sudden undirected pressure decrease behind the recessed tail, as well as non-laminar drag along the inside and outside surfaces of the verticals.

Frankly, looking at the rear, it looks like an unfinished project.
