NOS score today!

I found this awhile ago, maybe 6 months, but honestly I figured it was a mistake. I've found racing beat strut braces listed at $75 but without fail, when I call, it's something they sold long ago and they had just never updated the website.

Yesterday I decided to give them a call and see what was up. I was informed that 'Yes', it was available. It had been in their inventory since the early 90's. It was also marked down from $208 to $108. So without pics to go by, just his word on what the box said, I ordered it. I hope it shows up and I'm not disappointed.

Oh... What is it? NOS, still in box, Kamei front air dam.

Score!

Soon as it arrives I'll post pics. Told them to look around and see if there was anything else Rx7 related collecting dust.

No, going on the yellow/black one. Least that what I'm leaning towards now. Picked up some side and rear pieces, going to see how it looks all together and make a decision.

Kamei

Showed up today. Very happy. No original box, but still in original sealed plastic with paperwork. Note the date on the inspection sticker (9/8/88)

You should make a mold of it before installing.

Don't know the first thing about making molds. I did send an email to both kaminari and Racing Beat (they still sell a couple Kaminari pieces) seeing if they were interested and RB said no thanks, no word from Kaminari yet.

Is there a chance this piece would be ruined during the process of making a mold? Anyone got the skills to do this? I'd donate my piece to the cause as long as I can get it back in good condition so I can use it.

I would need to see a picture of the other side to be sure but I think it is too complex a shape to pull a one piece mold off of. It might be possible to do it as two pieces which are then joined. Can you see any joints?

What material is it made of?

^ High impact UV stabilized co-polymer material. ABS plastic. It's a beauty.
