I have a 1985 RX-7 GSL that has been in storage for 12 years. The 12A has 144K miles, and its time for a rebuild. I am having problems finding a qualified rotary specialist to do the job. I am hoping that there is someone in Ventura county or LA county (SFV) that can help me out. Can anyone make a recommendation?

You could try reaching out to Bowen at FPS in Orange. He likely has someone in house that can or will know someone first rate who does. He was an engineer for TRW for a long time so he's been around the auto block so to speak.

 

We're doing smaller projects (read: non race vehicles) out of Mariah Motorsports' old building up in Santa Barbara during our offseason. Shoot me a PM if you'd like or come by the shop sometime.

 

You could try RacingBeat or Mazdatrix which may or may not be close to you. There is also Atkins up in the northwest.

 

Selling the car? I might be interested if you are.

 

I know of plenty of shops but there are in LA/ SGV/ IA area. Like Angel Motorsports, Lucky Seven, DNA Garage, R&R, FR Performance, Turbo Dave and my engine builders Renown Racing. There is a couple more ....

All the shops around you have a bad rep so I wont even mention them.
