I won't be "in the process" anytime soon :-). I am in the process of redoing my 13b 4-Port with 89-91 rotors and upgrading the oil system. THe car runs just a s good as a boosted 7, but since It's my daily driver and I am a little nut I don't think going to boost is for me. I just want to break 12's all motor in my daily driver. I already hit a 13.8@103 all motor on street tires so I have a couple of more mods and I can see it hitting 12's. I have much respect for all these boosted 7's but I'll stay Puerto Rican old school for now.

Nice car, welcome aboard!

103mph is pretty damn good for a SP 13b NA! Just get the 60' times down and a few more ponies and you are there

Thanks setzep,

Yeah thats my main problem. My 60' was a 2.4. Thinking of throwing on a set of drag radials on there once the engine is past it's break in point...

I would like to do one. The only thing holding me back is that is wouldn't pass the smog check for CA. Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is swapping the stock motor back in every two years for the smog check. I got the engine, got the microtech, just wish it would pass smog damnit!

Oh yeah, lets get some pics on this thread!

i look at it like this... the money i save registering my old cars (each one costs around $30.00) compared to my friends that pay $1,500 and up for thier new sports cars
i have lots of money left over!!

Ok, I am really considering it now. I just thought it was hard to find the "smog friendly" shops these days. I may need to PM you if I decide to go through with it for a good place to go.

I am in the process right now. I need a gsl-se oil pan, and then I can drop the engine in and make some measurements on where I want everything to go. Mine will not be street legal but I will drive it anyway. I will go the holley route.

It is, but not a normal one. It is from a 12aTurbo, and has LOTS of porting done to it.

Oh. I was hoping to be able to use mine for the time being. Thanks for the reply. Anything else you want to tell me about your setup as seeing I would be running very close to yours. I don't have a turbo picked out yet. But any pointers would be great. Thanks.

I'm using the stock TII turbo. The manifold is form the TII also, just hold the 12a exhaust gasket to it and grind it so it matches the gasket. For the turbo's cooling drill and tap the front cover for the turbo oil return, and put a T fitting at the oil pressure sender for the oil feed. Custom 2.5'' exhaust. The carb hat in the 1st picture was too tall, so I had one made from Mid-Ohio Products(dad's work) that is much shorter. I'm using a GSL-SE fuel pump and a Mallory fuel pressure regulator. The BOV I got off ebay for $50, the seller had over 600 reviews, all good saying the bov's work great, so I bought it. I won't have an intercooler. Most of my parts came from www.rotaryshack.com Robert there does great work, but it takes a while to get parts form him. If I think of anything else about my setup I'll post it too. Unless you're going for over 300hp, then I would just get a TII turbo, they're cheap and work good.

I know some people use their stock manifold, it can be done. The thing is though, the turbo will hit the manifold, so you either have to make a custom exhaust manifold, or make a spacer to move the turbo away from the intake manifold.

my setup is almost done, 12a with s5 TII turbo and manifold. costing way more than i thought it would. vovlo 760 intercooler, carter 15lb fuel pump, greddy profec B spec 2 boost controller. blitz BOV, just plumbed all of the oil and water lines, put the turbo on but it hit the intake manifold even with the acv removed, now im trying to find a weber carb and manifold. does anyone know if a weber manifold sticks closer to the motor than the stock one? id like to have a tubular intake manifold, then i would have plenty of clearance i think. anyone have any ideas on what i should do?

Here are some pics of my car... None of the engine though, which is probably what you wanna see!

I'll get some engine shots up later.

My car.
