Holley + OMP installed. PIC!

So now I got my Holley 600 installed... figured I'd take a pic of how I ran the OMP lines. It's different from anyone else I've ever seen, and I think it'll work just fine

Since the shiny chrome air cleaner is a bit blinding in the pic, I'll elaborate. I drilled 2 holes in the top of the air cleaner, above the primary carb runners, and ran the OMP lines through said holes using some nice aftermarket vacuum line.

Now I just need to wire my OMP open, need to find a thread on how to do that.

Just some food for though here guys!

before you wire the omp open try installing a couple washers above the cotter pin, that'll give you more flow

Also, with your setup you won't get all your oil into the barrels... some of it will get caught in the air filter and cleaner.

I'm planning on drilling out two holes in the side of my intake and running the lines directly into the intake below the carb. That way you know each rotor is getting an even amount.

Good luck

I think most holley users insert them into the floats. If you wire that sucker open you better check your oil often!

Why would any of the oil get caught in the air cleaner? I have two nozzles that stick down almost into the barrels. Thanks for the info though!

Ahh, from the pic it looked as though they might just be nipples dripping down from the top.

Just make sure those tubes are nice and secure, you don't want them getting eaten by the butterflies.

If the oil goes into the float, then it goes through the metering block and gums everything up...

They pretty much are just nipples dripping down from the top, but the tube is actually inserted through the top of the air cleaner and I have nozzles on the end which is directly above each of the primary barrels.

It works nice. It's just an ebay "rebuilt" 600 Holley, but it seems to be working very well. I still need to adjust my timing, but the car fires and idles no problem. Doesn't like to drive cold, but I think that's because I have the choke open, and no exhaust til next week. ****'s in the mail though.

Turn your idle up. Mine idled around 1000-1100, that took care of all my cold issues.

Yeah I'm hoping to have it on the road by the 15th or so. I got my 2.5" exhaust tubing from Summit yesterday... I'm planning on doing an under-the-rear-suspension straight pipe exhaust, with a nice shiny muffler hanging on the end. I know, it's gonna be loud.
