I’m looking to get an alignment soon for my GSL-SE and I’m looking to introduce some camber and toe out in the front. I’m deciding whether to buy the Ground Control camber plates for $350. In order to purchase it you need to provide the strut shaft measurement and spring inner diameter. I contacted Ground Control and they said Koni Yellows usually come 14 mm but the older ones might be different and have to be machined to fit the camber plate.

Are the MR2 rear Koni yellows 14 mm or 5/8? Something else’s maybe?

Im also on Racing Beat springs; does anyone know the inner diameter? The options are 2.25”, 2.5”, and 60 mm.

Appa, I have bad news. Your RB springs won't work with camber plates, as C.P.'s are made for the small coilover springs only. Your RB springs are about 4.4" ID. The MR2 Konis are 14mm. My cheap calipers read 14.77mm (5/8 = 15.87mm).

The T3 plates that K.C.REPU linked offer camber but not caster like the GC units. T3 gets more caster through adjustable length tension rods, moving the control arm/wheel forward, instead of the strut top backward.

 

Cool, thanks for letting me know. I think I'd rather do the weld-on front coilover conversion with camber plates from Ground Control instead. Do you know what the spring inner diameter on those are?

 

No, sorry. If you mean the weld-on kit from GC they should be able to help you pick the right parts to fit together.
