The rear diff on my ‘83 rx7 broke, looking to find the parts to rebuild it, or find a complete one and just swap it in. i just don’t know how to go about finding the stuff. i’m very new to owning the car, and need help! if anyone knows where to find/buy these parts please reach out!

Do you know what broke? Did you lose teeth off of the R&P gears, lose a bearing, break an axle? You could swap in a whole rear end or possibly just replace the bearing or gear set if that was all it needed.

i don’t know what broke but i am almost certain it’s the teeth, the rear end spins until it doesn’t, if that makes sense, like a broken shard of metal is getting caught in between the case and the still attached teeth. but i haven’t open up the case yet, so i’m not sure

Look on our classifieds - people are always parting out cars. Also look on epay - junk yards still have these cars and if you find one listing a fender / hood / rear hatch / whatever, just contact them and tell them you want the rear end if it's in good shape. they will pull it and ship it to you. I have gotten many odd-ball parts that way for my '85.
