(TURBO) TII swap into GSL-SE
I turboed the 12a I had in mine before this swap with that set up it weighted 2127 full tank it ran a 12.87 before it went. lasted about 2 months only one run that I was pushing did not get the speed at the end was more worried about getting out of the way and towed home. learned about detonation that night. I am expecting the car to weigh about 2400 this time.
the #'s stand for the stock ecu model #. each one is differant and has differant functional abilitys. has yours been rechiped? your 87 harness would plug in to a n332 or a n333 and maybe one other but I am not sure about that one. typicaly the n333 was used in 88 t2 ae the n332 was used in all 87 and some 88 t2's.

ok before I take a guess at this, lets see if i got this right. you are installing a 13btt (cosmo jdm) complete (intake injectors ect.) full engine assy. in your first gen with 87 t2 engine harness and 88 n333 ecu, the ecu is stock chiped and just a bleader valve for fuel cut??? even with the incressed fuel presure and biger pump on the old t2 setup the 550cc injectors would have maxed out around 12 lbs of boost and any thing over 55~ lbs of fuel pressure would have overdriven them (give them a lower flow). the old t2 should have blown around 14 lbs boost with your set up. best flow on the 550 injectors should be around 47 lbs fuel pressure. the ecu would have lost the ablity to perform around 12lbs. the cosmo setup would be differant though some things you need to consider are the n333 ecu does not have the ablity to handel the swing in injector size differance as well as differant style of tps sensor, air flow meter as well as other sensors that work differant and would not match your 87 engine harness. if attempting this at least get a fcd and a piggy back fuel controller: e-manage, afc, fcon or such.. but you realy need a full programable ecu.

I dont think I have told u everything. OK, lets see here, my mistake the ecu and wiring are from the same car it was an 88 then. I kept all my prior TII stuff and I am using the TII TPsensor,
stock TII air flap air flow meter and I just checked the COSMO inj and they have the same impedence so the ecu will drive them and much earlier on I said I have an HKS additional inj. controller with four 550 inj. The additional inj. are also being fed by its own Bosch Motorsports pump and the Cosmo inj. r being fed by the 2nd Bosch pump if needed I also have the Cartech fuel press reg. (boost dependant) I have this stuff now and I dont really want to spend $$$$ on a Haltech.
my cosmo just came today via the train WoooHooo
So what do u think of that setup? I want to know about the fuel bleed because it came in at 13psi.
Oh ya I was quite aware I was tuning on the ragged edge by looking at the plugs. Almost white but never detnated!

the cosmo injectors may be the same impedance and the ecu will power them yes, but from what I see there is still a bigger problem with your set up. There is too big of a differance in size between the cosmo injectors (primary to secondary swing) for the n333 to handel. It is setup for simlar size injectors. besides a stumble or cut in fuel in the midrange even with a overlap of the secondary system(add injector controller hks) the engine will blow ! just a mater of when. my guess it will be between shifts during a boost spike. the size differance in injectors will become an exaggerated problem without a ecu upgrade in some form. an absolute need is a fcd to get rid of the fuel cut completely. you may not everhear the detonation but if you get fuel cut it will be there. why spend the money for the mods and the cosmo engine and not get a fcd? you can get them for under 50 bucks new. a chip upgrade or piggy back fuel comp for under 300 could fix your problem and save your cosmo engine. another fix could be to install simlar size injectors in the 13btt and still a fcd. I would not chance a 50 cent bleeder on a several thousand dollar project. a third posible fix is to sell the hks aic and get an e-manage or other pb fuel computer that has the ablity to control addional injectors (about 500 fully loaded new)that would be a way your cost would be way lower than going with a haltec type system(1500-2000 fully loaded new). there are other engine safety things I would get also. you may have some of those already. it soulds like you will have a realy nice car when you are done.

Wow ! That is a very proffessional looking bit of work there, NIIIIICE! What muffer is that? Looks like a Magnaflow similar to mine. 3inch pipe?
Is it stainless? Tig or mig? I love the slight turndown tip very Aussie like! Quick question, can I not put the TurboII injectors in my Cosmo and then use this freaken $875.00 additional inj. controller from HKS to come in right off idle like 1200rpm or so, then have them spray according to need all the way to redline? Will this not work?
Sounds like it should. Remember im using a n333 stock ecu. I was told the Cosmo inj. have to big of a difference in size for the n333 ecu to handle thats what made me think the stock TII inj. with a AIC would do the trick. Any ideas , anyone at all.

The muffler is a ultra flo that I got for free, don't know how long it's going to last because I think it has fiberglass filling. You like the turndown also? I really didn't want to just have a 3" pipe sticking out of the back of my car so I ended up using a extra chunk of mandrel bend I had left over from making the exhaust. I think this way the bumper cover will last a little longer with less flamage shooting at it
The exhaust is made from mild steel 3" mandrel bends and straight tube welded with my new MIG welder. Man I love that thing
Aren't the 89+ T2 injectors the same size physically as the cosmo ones? They are both 550cc.

Im not sure. Can anyone tell us the cc size of 1988 TurboII and 1989 TurboII injectors? Can you please provide the size for primary and secondary
injectors. Also what size are the pri. and sec. of a Cosmo. Im just about ready to put this thing in and really need to know. Pease and thanx!

J, I have searched all over the net and havent been able to find a site to send you regarding the injector size on the cosmo engine so I may be wrong on the size differance. what I do know is from installing one in to a 93 rx7 the cosmo engine was an 94 and It had 550 primarys and 850 secondarys same size as the 3rd gens. I did take a look at a 90 cosmo engine today and it had the same style injectors as our t2s in the primarys it had red injectors that looked the same as my 550cc from my t2 engine but in the secondarys they looked light blue and same style as the red ones. I dont know if it changes through the years built?? maybe Directfreak or ajc13b can anser this. anyone know the site that tells the differances between the mazda injectors? its got the size, colors, impedance and differant conectors used in the differant years. I know the red ones are 550cc. the n333 can handel a swing of 550-720cc but more than that it gets out of wack. if you have all red injectors or the same size you should be fine. once you put it on a dyno you should be able to see where you need to have the addional ones come on line. I would guess its closer to 2600 3000rpm but I havent dynoed one so its just a guess.
setzep the exhust looks great! why no pre muffler?what size bends did you use?

I have a Ractive, hey, no teasing me i know. But listen I have beat this thing to death and it still has the stainless packing material inside and works well. 3 in, 3 out. Anybody tell me where to find the website explaining inj. sizes and colors and such. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Well my secondaries on my 92 cosmo engine are redish pink in color if that helps you out at all. I also thought they were 850's but then I think it was AJC-13b that said the're 550's in the cosmos.
I don't know of any website that explains it all
