Wow! I am actually impressed with your widebody ride. Especially the hood looks good. What color is it going and take pics of engine bay.

For the rear end, there are people who are running the stock rear with luck so thats what I'm going to try but you have those fat rear tires that will like to grip. But on the other hand if you don't do any 8k clutch drops I think the stock rear will do just fine.

Oh yeah, cool hood. You make it yourself? Does it vent the rad or the IC?

Thanks for all the compliments! I'm not completely settled on the color, I'm thinking a slightly darker metallic blue, maybe a slight flip color changing with it going from black to blue. But I'm not sure, the interior used to be all red, but in about a week I'll be finished changing everything to black, which makes a choice of color open to anything. Tell me what you guys think!! Maybe I'll post a poll. As far as the hood goes, I made it myself and its a far way from complete, I still have alot of sanding and smoothing to do, and I may add big metal louvers kinda like you see on the japanese racing skylines and NSX's. The hood vents the radiator, which I made custom side brackets to tlit it forward, just like in a second gen (and I'm using a second gen rad. too) Once the swap is complete, it will vent the radiator and intercooler. But I might have to cut out a vent in the lower underbody,(which I custom made from 1/4 aluminum sheet) to get fresh air from below to the radiator, since the hot air from the intercooler will cause some problems. The hood works awesome!! As far as pics of the engine bay......ehhh....there no motor in it at this time, you'll just see the racing beat strut brace, and the tilted radiator. I'll post some if you really want me too.
The first part is going to keep you from getting the second part unless you boost way out of the stock turbos efficiency but then your intake air will be scorching hot.
Thanks for warning me, how much HP can a stock turbo support? And still be within the somewhat safe intake temps, I'm using a nice 33"x8"x 3.5" intercooler, if that helps any.

I've herd 250 is more common max Hp than high 200's low 300's with that setup. True, your I/C may be better than the stock TMIC but the turbo is still inefficient at the boost it would take to make 280-300hp. Will be heating the air and causing more backpressure than it's worth. Too restrictive on the turbine side and too small of a compressor. I'm sure you can find out a lot more info by browsing the 2ng gen section than I can give you here.

Thanks for the help!! Just curious, what kind of horsepower are you going to run? Your setup is insane, I just gotta know.

I'm hoping for 350rwhp @ 15psi with the stock ports.

How did you make the "lip" around the opening in the hood? I really like that idea of venting out the top of the hood, looks good.

damn good guess. It is realy a 91 cluster from a na that I cut down the front part and mated the front of a 81 cluster to so it would fit. what do you think ? It was a tight fit to get in still.

GTO RX7. Wanna hear somtin funny? 2 yrs ago I made a hood that looks identical to yours, I mean freakin IDENTICAL!!! You know how you said you are going to put louvers on it? I did it on either side 4inches from the windscreen end of the hood. I didnt make the louvers though, they were from a 1988 Grandprix GTP. I was a painter and bodyman at a Cadillac ,Chevy dealeship WooooooHooooo you say. It never seeses to amaze me how 2 human minds (I think) can come up with such exact ideas, but then for both of them to have the ability to build it themselves is pretty amazing if u ask me.

I am impressed. You swapped the entire wiring harness over? Not just the engine harness? So you swapped the dash wiring etc?

That is a bitch. I did that to an 81, with an 85 harness, and that took forever.

So basically, you will have a fully functional TII drivetrain, harness, sensors, etc when finished?

I am done. The exhaust is scheduled to go in next Saturday, then to Cris's shop for a once over, starting, and then dyno tuning the Haltech.

As I said, I am done, but the final couple of steps are up to the exhaust shop and the Haltech tuner.

Boostin' Daily pertains to my truck, and it ran a 13.9 @ 110 a month ago. She's still stock, but she'll be modded after the SE.

yea IT WAS !!! the engine late 88jdm , trany 84 gslse tell it breaks or I figure how to get a 6 speed box in it. harness & sensors complete acept for some mods to fit and hook up. one intersting thing 2nd gens must be smaller because the harness was short just about everywhere!!! most of the wires were much smaller through out also but a lot more of them.

DF. I swaped over the TII engine harness (no Haltech) and have a question 4u. I dont have a FCD
and I was running a bleed that went to the pressure sensor on the pass. side of engine bay in order to get rid of the 8psi fuel cut. It seemed to work fine with my old TII setup and F.C. didnt happen until 12-13psi. What will happen if i bleed more off to reach 15-16psi. Is the sensor going to send the fuel inj. a wrong signal that enough to detonate, Im not sure what the sensor is for exactly. Any ideas anyone?Thanx

Ya! sorry i didnt add that but ya i had a 255LPH
NOS pump. Thats it though, stock lines, stock pressure reg. but i did have the electronic AutoMeter fuel pressure gauge and it read 42psi at idle and 61psi at 12psi of boost. The car ran a
12.91@117 Im not kiddin. the car is pretty light I weighed it accurately at 2311 pounds full tank.
