How much is a zero milage renesis motor with ecu and wiring harness worth?

I have the access to two brand new renesis engines with harnesses and ecu's(believe it or not). I'm considering buying one to swap into my vert, or selling both to finance my 20b swap.

I don't think anyone has done a renesis swap into a vert yet. It would be cool to be the first. On the other hand, I think the motors might be worth just enough to finance a 20 swap.

What do you guys think those engines are worth? The first motor is for the 6speed manual, and the other is for the automatic. The auto also has the transmission. Both engines are brand new w/ zero miles.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that like the 13B-RE and 20B, you had to go to a stand-alone if you swap in a renesis. I can't remember why as it's early in the morning and I'm still trying to wake up.

Maybe one of the more knowledgeable members can chime in and help out here.

And a brand new renesis from Mazda is either just under or just over $5,000. Again, its early and I can't think straight right now.

Mazmart had a special running last week on rebuilt (by Rick Engman) Renesis engines. They were bare block. No intake, ecu, nothing. They were on sale for $1900 which is FAR lower than they normally sell for. That doesn't answer the question directly but hopefully gives something to compare to.

Mazda extended the warranty on the Renesis so demand is going to be lower than you would expect.

Sorry, I didn't know where to post this to be honest. I posted it on rx8 club.com also, but I wanted to see if there was any demand for these engines from 2nd gen owners. I considered posting in the classified section, but the rules state that things for sale must have a listing price.

I haven't personally seen any demand for the renesis engines. I did find one thread about a swap going on but it was one of those long shot, worth it in the end only to the right person swaps. Neat but not practical by any means. You would be better off asking around the RX8 club IMO.

There won't be any demand for these engines yet. Give it another 5-7 years for the demand to go up more. You also have to remember, your typical FC owner is either cheap, or not very wealthy at all, that's why they buy FC's.

I remember when the Renesis first came around, the manifolds were going anywhere from 2000-2300 new from dealers, so that could give you an idea on what they are really worth these days.
