you got a least a thousand just to fix the roof and hatch if you do it yourself.

If it has a "salvage title" - pass on it. It'll always be a bitch to sell. If it does not, check the compression / frame / suspension / interior.

If it does not have a salvage title - get an estimate to get the body fixed and painted and base your offer off of the repair estimate..

These cars are hard to find - if it's mechanically sound I'd look into it...

You didn't mention the mileage or if it's something you're going to keep and modify.

 

Just cut the roof off and make it into a convertable.

 

Better yet, sell it to me so I can drop the whole driveline into my Vert

 

If you love to get greasy and it is mechanically sound you could swap everything into a blown engine nice bodied RX (always found for cheap).

 

I say thats a little high. I saw that ad too. There is a GXL on e-bay that has the buy now feature of $450. I say buy that and make it a T2. I don't know which one will come out cheaper, but they both seem like a lot of work.
