Wolf user Here (non RX-7) with a question regarding logging inputs

I have a 1972 240z with a 1983 280zxt turbo motor. I am running a T03/04E, 50 trim turbo, Supra 7MGTE injectors, LS-1 coil on plugs, modified CAS, etc. I am setup for full sequential ignition and injection. I am using the Wolf V500.

Ok, with my introduction out of the way onto the meat of my question. I am using a coolant temperature sensor as a standard input into Wolf. My engine also has a cylinder head temperature sensor located between #5 and #6. These last two cylinders tend to run hotter than the first 4 due to the coolant passage design and are the first two to detonate (which has cost me 2 head gaskets). I would like to log the CHTS and have wired it up to AUX LS5. However, I can't seem to actually log the data. Is there a settign I am missing somewhere? Whenever I click on the data log axis, I do not see anything. I have setup AUX LS5 under configuration and have setup the calibration table.

I've also wired up my stock knock sensor to AUX LS7 and I am using an LED on AUX LS6 to blink when it detects knocking. This works great, but I can't seem to find any data log/information for AUX LS7.

Finally, I have an Innovate LC-1 with a G3 gauge. Short of buying an LMA3, I would like to log the voltage signal from my LSU4.2 sensor in Wolf on AUX LS4 and have wired it up. However, like the CHTS and knock sensor, I cannot find the data.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Bo

just buy the lma3, that's what i did and it works fine. as you already know it has the chts input and you'll be also able to data log your afr and boost.

Im not familiar with the v500 software, so all i can do is ask questions

Are you sure your inputs are functioning? can you see them on the virtual dash. In my v400 software i thought i could select what items are logged on the graphs just by rightclicking? i dont have anything on this pc so again just specualting..

I just purchased an LMA3. Logworks is so much better for datalogging than Wolf.

joem20, I used the auxiliary channels (AuxLS6 and AuxLS7 to be exact) for my knock detection. My engine comes with a knock detector from the factory. I wired it up to Wolf through AuxLS7 and I setup the voltage from the knock sensor (0 to 1 volt) to be output at 0 to 1000. I then used AuxLS6 to control an LED based on pin AUXLS7. I set the threshold value to 600 on AuxLS6. Anything below and the LED does not light up; anything above and the LED lights up.

Hello, Is it possible to get copy of you map? I build up 1972 Ford Taunus Coupe with 2.8 L V6 turbo engine.

Matti, let me do a little more tuning and I'll send you my map. However, I do not know what good it will do you. The L28ET engine is a low compression (7.4:1) engine and loves timing. At cruise I can run 40 to 50 degrees; at 15 psi (1 bar) I am around 24 degrees.

My injector pulse widths are based on my fuel pressure and injectors (Toyota Supra 7MGTE - 440 cc/min).
