Wolf 3D Wolf factory support?
Wolf factory support?
Does anyone have any experience with Wolf support?
I emailed them a month ago. I got a response asking for my map. I sent it to them along with other media showing the problem.
Since then there has been no response. I email/re-forward all messages every 4-7 days.
Anyone in Australia have any insight? Do they not support 'older' models like the 3DV4? Do they feel that the handful of U.S.A. customers aren't worth taking care of? They know we can't easily walk into their office?

When they replied they didn't say that they required me to pay.
If they don't make good, I'll sell it and the hand controller and just go MS.
I didn't realize that you had to pay money to talk to them about something that has a good chance of being of being a warranty issue.

Like any other business, if they offered free tech service to all of their thousands of customers, as well as the thousands of people who bought used models, they would either go out of business or the price of a new EMS would need to be astronomically high in order to cover the tech support expenses.
As recommended in the post above, you should really contact a local dealer prior to dealing with the factory.
How is your V4 still under warranty when it was only good for one year, and they haven't made that model in several years?

There are some tech companies that do offer free tech service, there are those that don't. If you have a good product, good documentation and some public support I don't see how that would put you out of business. I can see not supporting your product putting you out of business. I won't buy another Wolf at any price. But that isn't the issue.
I am the original owner with the warranty card on file with them, Wolf. It states a lifetime warranty. To establish if something is or isn't wrong there has to be some communication between Wolf and the user. Call it tech support or not.
To be fair, I'll give them another couple days to respond to a simple email. After that I will talk to Waynespeed. Thanks for that suggestion.
I'm not here to be pissy or to argue. I just wanted to see if anyone here had experience dealing with Wolf Australia.

Don't be scared, just find a tuner. Kantuning.com is a good place to start. He's tuned Wolf's before. He travels to tune.
