Wolf factory support?

Does anyone have any experience with Wolf support?

I emailed them a month ago. I got a response asking for my map. I sent it to them along with other media showing the problem.

Since then there has been no response. I email/re-forward all messages every 4-7 days.

Anyone in Australia have any insight? Do they not support 'older' models like the 3DV4? Do they feel that the handful of U.S.A. customers aren't worth taking care of? They know we can't easily walk into their office?

Did you pay for technical support?

I didn't realize that you had to pay money to talk to them about something that has a good chance of being of being a warranty issue.

When they replied they didn't say that they required me to pay.

If they don't make good, I'll sell it and the hand controller and just go MS.

How is your V4 still under warranty when it was only good for one year, and they haven't made that model in several years?

Like any other business, if they offered free tech service to all of their thousands of customers, as well as the thousands of people who bought used models, they would either go out of business or the price of a new EMS would need to be astronomically high in order to cover the tech support expenses.

As recommended in the post above, you should really contact a local dealer prior to dealing with the factory.

My paperwork says "Lifetime Warranty". I sent in the warranty card years ago. They have not contested my suggestions of things being covered under warranty. They haven't told me that I have to pay for so called tech support.

There are some tech companies that do offer free tech service, there are those that don't. If you have a good product, good documentation and some public support I don't see how that would put you out of business. I can see not supporting your product putting you out of business. I won't buy another Wolf at any price. But that isn't the issue.

I am the original owner with the warranty card on file with them, Wolf. It states a lifetime warranty. To establish if something is or isn't wrong there has to be some communication between Wolf and the user. Call it tech support or not.

To be fair, I'll give them another couple days to respond to a simple email. After that I will talk to Waynespeed. Thanks for that suggestion.

I'm not here to be pissy or to argue. I just wanted to see if anyone here had experience dealing with Wolf Australia.

BuddhaRHD-
Don't be scared, just find a tuner. Kantuning.com is a good place to start. He's tuned Wolf's before. He travels to tune.

Wolf AUS has never answered my emails, nor have they ever answered the phone when I have called. Were it not for the good support from their USA dealers, I wouldn't buy a Wolf EMS again.

v4 are as good as v5 wolf, it just doesn't have all the features as a v5 does. i'm running several cars with v4 and no problems.

Try this email address 'robbie@wolfems.com.au' he is the tech guy at wolf, dont say where you got the email address from, he usually answers in a day or two and is quite a nice bloke, Wolf are going through management structuring at the moment due to part sale to one of the other guys there and they are trying to get better!!:icon_tup:

He is the one I've been somewhat communicating with. The last message I got from him was on June 6 (it is now June 16) saying he would look at my map and respond to me. He disregarded most of what I asked him. Thanks for the reminder, I just emailed him again.

My first email to him was on May 12.
