wolf 3d v3 or microtech

I have been using the microtech lt8 for about a year know and wanna try something diffrent. I have the option to to buy a wolf 3d ecu and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any advantages over the microtech or why they like it better. Thanks

The V3 is a decent enough EMS. I ran it for about 4 years, then switched to Haltech.

Not sure I would recommend it nowadays, unless you where looking for your first EMS and wanted something cheap. It's a little long in the tooth, and somewhat limited, especially in '21 psi mode' where the resolution isn't that great.

hmmm is this also regards the Vers4?.....i dont quite ses eye to eye withyou on the vers4....

true though....support is very lacking. Steve in AU is very helpful....but its one guy for all the world....

I know this is a little off the subject but just out of curiosity what unit do you like guys like better, the Microtech LT8s or the Haltech E6X??

If your running a Microtech are you using datalogging? If so this is one feature we're all waiting around to be released on the Wolf. You don't really need it just train one eye on the handcontroller/laptop and the other on the road!

And its one hell of a ride in Overdrive at 7500 rpm while driving and using a laptop. Thats why we need datalogging. I am still working on it....

Datalogging AFR's is the best way to get your car fine tuned.

Tuning WOT in the lower gears and cruise AFR's on the fly isn't too hard, but datalogging helps getting those pesky spots on your map you only hit now and then.
