v500 map for 20b

Hello,
I'm having a difficult time finding existing maps for 20b engine. I emailed Wolf in Aus and they didn't answer. I emailed the place where I got the V500 from, and they've been "working on it" for a week now. All I really need to know is how to set the ecu up for 3 rotor, but there seems to be no drop-down menu to select engine type in the software. Thanks for the help.

I haven't seen a V500 yet however I do have the software to operate on maps. What I would need is data on the Crank angle sensor and the number of coils ect and maybe I can pull a map out of thin Air for you to start with...No promises though I will also need to know how many injectors and how they are wired, sizes of the injectors. Turbo type and anything else idle control type and oil injection pump type.

Any info is good I think I have a 20B map somewher for a V4+..

Cheers

what info for the crank angle sensor are you looking for?
I am using 6 coils (3 crane ps92 for the leading, 3 stock trailing coils).
bosch 160lb injectors for the secondaries, stock primary injectors.
GT42R turbo.
no oil metering pump, I'll run premix.
stock idle control valve

thanks

Is the CAS reluctor or Hall pickup is it front/pulley mount or Dizzy Mount If so is it modified or stock. Secondry Injectors are 160*10.5 =CC per min = 1680 cc Injectors Ok What is the stock injector cc or lb/hr for the 20B 550 cc??? Are your secondry injectors all wired individually or are they commoned onto the staged injection and all fire at once??? A picture of the CAS and a rough diagram of how your injectors are wired and to what outputs whould be great.
Working on a map for you already.

the CAS is reluctor I believe. It has 2 gears, one with 24 teeth and one with 2 teeth. I think the 24 teeth gear is the ref and the 2 teeth gear is the sync. the gears turn 1/2 speed of the crank.
the primary injectors are 550 cc.
the secondaries are wired individually. I am using 6 channels of the ecu to drive each primary and secondary injector.

thanks a lot for your help! I can post the file that I've been working on if you'd like. Are you using v500 software?

If you could post your map it would be good. You have a Stock S4/5 13BT or similar CAS.

ok, it's not much of a map.
I've been working on just configuring the ecu to the engine.
This weekend I want to wire the crank angle sensor to the ecu.
How do I tell the ecu where TDC is?
I believe firing order is 132, I'm not sure on that.
I've attached the file. THanks.

ok for some reason the file extension is .ecu for v500 and I cannot upload it.

I had an older wolf a few years ago and I remember that the file extension was wmf.

Did wolf change the file format?

Thumbs up

OK just change the extension .ecu to .zip and repost it I will sort it out here. Also just leave the CAS out for the moment work may need to be done on it ok...Waiting for a email reply.

Thanks SPiN Racing you have a PM My biggest problem is working out the actual functioning of the V500 I bet it has lots of hidden functions. Like how do we determine which ignition output is trailing for split. Same for staging how can we determine which drivers are staged. If we have a 20B with 6 injetcors the first 3 primary how do we tie the second 3 as staged.

Lots to do..

Cheers

OK the CAS setup may be Sync/ref, offset 2(2X30deg) if CAS set at 60 degree advance, skip = 4 (12/3 =4 per revolution) for 3 firings per revolution. I found the secondry staging for the injectors. I am looking for How to set your Ignition outputs to trailing for split, I have it set to 3 Rotor maybe it buried in the paperwork somewhere...Anyone

looking for help.

ok here is how to do it.. find the file on your drive say it is "mymap.ecu"
using the search function locate the file. Right click the file and select rename
using the <- key delete .ecu and then type .zip and then "Enter"
Now attach the file to a post presto.

A V500 20B startup Map Hopefully... It PRESUMES THAT
Ign1 = lead rotor1
Ign2 = lead rotor2
Ign3 = lead rotor3
Ign4 = Trailing rotor 1
Ign5 = Trailing rotor2
Ign6 = trailing rotor3

Fuel injection Output
1,2,3 = primary stock 550 cc
4,5,6 = Secondary and are too be staged ie bigger than the primaries in this case 1680cc injectors

Your Feeling Lucky.. just remove the .zip from the file nothing else

*sigh*

my computer forever assigned .ecu to the file. When I changed it to .zip, it names the file as .zip.ecu. I give up.

yes, that's exactly how my ignition and fuel are set up. i will try this weekend. thanks a lot man.

My computer won't let me take off .zip, so it treats the folder as a real zip file.

could you please rename it to .wmf? thanks

Sounds like you need a Computer guy too!!! My guess is that your computer may be OWNED by someone other than yourself. I would get it checked you may have a Zombie Computer.

And As REquested.
If I was you I would Install "Spybot Search and Destory" up date the definitions and sort out you PC.

After fooling around with the car for a month, I still can't get it to start. Robbie at Wolf sent me this map, which I was able to get the engine RPM to appear on the laptop but it still wouldn't start. Could you please take a look at Wolf's map and see if you can see anything? Thanks Michael.

Exclamation

Ok the initial timing is on the map is 49.2 (I set mine at 60 degrees as per the Wolf V4 manual)degrees so once you have tdc on Number 1 your sensor need to align 49 degrees in advance of TDC. Now back to basics to make a engine run you need Fuel Air and Spark. My first test would be get a timing light and while a friend cranks the engine check each coil fires. Then Check the timing of Number 1 then Number 2 and then 3 this makes sure that you didn't stuffup. Once done. No warranty with this OK!!!! Place 2 large caps of fuel into the plumbing after the intercooler. Tighten the clamps. and crank it should fire. Do this a number times and if your Injectors are working you should have a runner ..... I have tweaked the starting fuel the air temp correction looks suspect but thats not what we are after yet.
